RoadHand (“we,” “us”), operated by Timurtek LLC, takes privacy seriously. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
01What We Collect
Account info: email, display name, and authentication identifiers from Google (if used). Password hashes (if you use email/password) are handled by Firebase Authentication — we never see your actual password.
Profile data: trade, experience level, home-base city/state, certifications, current location (if you opt in to “on the road”). All optional beyond trade + experience.
Content you submit: contractor reviews, pay reports, and housing recommendations. Reviews and pay reports default to anonymous — only your trade is displayed publicly unless you opt out.
Usage data: pages visited, clicks, referrers, device type, approximate location (from IP). Used for analytics, not sold.
Payment data (hosts only): handled by Stripe. We store the Stripe customer ID and subscription ID; we never see credit card numbers.
02How We Use It
- Operate the Service (show pages, route inquiries, etc.)
- Display your content publicly (anonymous by default for reviews + pay reports)
- Send transactional email (signup confirmation, password reset)
- Send product updates (opt-out link in every email)
- Measure aggregate engagement to improve the product
- Prevent fraud and abuse
03Who We Share With
Third-party service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting
- Supabase — government data storage
- Vercel — hosting and edge network
- Stripe — payment processing for host subscriptions
- Google Analytics — aggregate site usage
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data to comply with legal obligations (subpoena, court order) or to protect the safety of users.
04Anonymous Content
When you post a review or pay report with the “Post anonymously” toggle on (the default), your display name is not visible to other users. We still record the submission internally with your user ID so we can:
- Enforce “one review per project” (later)
- Remove content at your request
- Comply with lawful requests
Contractors and other users cannot see who submitted a review. Law enforcement or a court can compel identity disclosure.
05Your Rights
You can access, update, or delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Delete your account: email hello@roadhand.app with your registered email and we'll remove your profile within 7 business days.
Reviews and pay reports posted anonymously will remain on the platform after account deletion to preserve the integrity of public data, with any identifying links severed. To remove specific content, email us.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what data we hold about you, request deletion, and opt out of any “sale” of personal information (we don't sell data). Email hello@roadhand.app to exercise these rights.
06Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to measure aggregate usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — the site will still work but some features (staying logged in, etc.) may not.
07Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google Analytics defaults. Payment records are retained for 7 years per IRS requirements. Content you've posted publicly (reviews, pay reports) is retained indefinitely unless removed on request.
08Children
RoadHand is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately.
